lyrics

Seasons

Metamorphing leaves from green to orange rainbows
Air like Antarctic breath
Marriage once like spring is now dead like the winter
Orange to gray; it's hard to say if love's forever gone away
And his body would fuse with her soul and vice versa
But now he no longer feels life inside
And now that she's gone he wants to prove to her
That spring will return once more

Each sunrise they'd wake, each day they'd discover a new leaf; a new strand of life
But frost coats the flowers and soon it devours the life-giving breath inside

A flower was born kissed by heavenly dew drops
Amidst angelic song
But he could not see the beauty behind the disguise of the devil's sly schemes
But the flower's ever growing and life's never slowing
The garden will constantly grow
And he knows if he walks away a gardener will take his place
And the flower will be his no more

"So don't leave me alone!" he screams.
I will never see the sun again!
So please dear, have mercy like cool rain on my feverish face!"

Ages obsolete and eras far bygone
And now the modern song
Glistening lust and demented excitement
Inebriated laughter; no more happy ever after
Many times the leaves have gone and returned and the flower is now tall and strong
Lost love has matured and moved on and grown stronger; the marriage consumed by the years
Broken, yes shattered and back and forth battered
Hope extinguished by fears and mistrust

Seasons will come and go and even though time seems to drag, it's done before you know
So make up your mind you victim, "ha!"

Seasons have come and gone, it's been so long and memories have faded for the most part and he is a broken shell trapped by lustful lullabies and bitter fate
